Actress Alizeh Shah has sparked social media discussion after sharing a sarcastic post about “Nepo Kids,” with the timing drawing attention to newcomer Shahvir Kadwani.
Alizeh, known for dramas including Dil Mom Ka Diya, Ishq Tamasha, Ehd-e-Wafa, Tanaa Banaa, Taqdeer, Jo Tu Chahey and Bebasi, recently shared an image comparing Bollywood and Pakistani star kids.
The post showed Ranbir Kapoor under the label “Bollywood’s Nepo Kids” alongside a cartoon-style image of Sid the Sloth from Ice Age, representing “Pakistani Nepo Kids.” Many social media users interpreted the post as a comment on established families entering Pakistan’s entertainment industry.
Shahvir Kadwani Drawn Into Online Debate
Alizeh did not directly name Shahvir in her post. However, its timing brought the newcomer into the discussion as he continues receiving mixed reactions for his performance in the drama Mohabbat.
Shahvir, son of producer and actor Abdullah Kadwani, plays Zarrar in the serial. Social media users have particularly discussed his acting and dialogue delivery, while some have linked the criticism to his family background.
However, such comments reflect individual opinions on social media and do not establish that his casting resulted solely from nepotism.
Social Media Users Share Mixed Reactions
Alizeh’s post quickly attracted mixed responses, with some users agreeing with her apparent message while others questioned the comparison. Several users also brought up the actress’s past controversies while discussing her remarks.
Meanwhile, some social media users defended Shahvir, arguing that he remains new to the industry and should receive time to develop his acting skills. Others continued criticising his performance and discussing his connection to an established entertainment family.
The debate comes as Shahvir continues to receive varied reactions to his role in Mohabbat. Sanam Saeed and Mehwish Hayat have also urged audiences to avoid personal attacks and give the newcomer room to improve.
