Pakistani actor and Tamasha host Adnan Siddiqui has said having Indian reality TV star Rakhi Sawant on the show would be a โdream.โ His comments came after Sawant expressed interest in joining the programme.
Sawant recently said she wished Tamasha had filmed in Dubai so she could participate and โmake the whole world go mad.โ Siddiqui acknowledged that her appearance would currently be difficult but said it would make the show highly entertaining.
Tamasha Gains Fans Across India
Speaking on Maliha Rehmanโs Gloss Etc podcast, Siddiqui said Tamasha had attracted Indian viewers since its first season. He added that Sawantโs praise was not an isolated example of interest from across the border.
Siddiqui also recalled receiving a call from Indian comedian Johnny Lever, who praised his work on the show. The actor said such recognition was significant, particularly as Tamasha enters its fifth season.
Siddiqui Praises Showโs Growing Popularity
Siddiqui said comments from Indian viewers had made him proud of the programmeโs growing popularity. He recalled one viewer praising the showโs name and saying they planned to watch all its seasons.
Tamasha follows the format popularised by the Dutch reality show Big Brother. Indiaโs version, Bigg Boss, features Bollywood star Salman Khan as its host, making the two programmes regional counterparts.
