PCB calls for convening meeting
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board has expressed its objection to the independent decision made by Asian Cricket Council President Jay Shah to host Asia Cup matches in Colombo.
The PCB has requested the convening of an ACC meeting to protest against the decision made without consulting it. Sources have revealed that all ACC members unanimously agreed to relocate the venue to Hambantota.
However, Shah conveyed through an email to the PCB that he would not relocate the matches to another venue and would keep them in Colombo.

According to the reports, the ACC was contemplating to relocate Asia Cup games in the Super Four round from the Sri Lankan capital, Colombo, to Hambantota.
These reports emerged following a telephonic conversation between PCB Chief Zaka Ashraf and Board of Control for Cricket in India Secretary Jay Shah.
During their conversation, they discussed about the rain-affected India-Pakistan matches. They also proposed the need to make a decision about where to hold the matches, considering either Pakistan or the UAE.
