This dialogue aims to comprehensively address the entire spectrum of bilateral relations between the two nations.

Upon his arrival, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar was warmly received by the director general and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, Khalil Hashmi, underscoring the importance of the visit.

The Strategic Dialogue agenda encompasses a wide array of crucial topics, including a thorough review of economic and trade cooperation, high-level exchanges, the enhancement of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), future connectivity initiatives, and an analysis of the prevailing geopolitical situation.

In addition to his co-chair responsibilities, Dar, in his capacity as Deputy Prime Minister, is scheduled to engage in discussions with Chinese leaders, senior officials, and prominent business entities, highlighting the multifaceted nature of Pakistan-China relations.

The forthcoming dialogue follows the successful completion of a decade of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor in 2023, as acknowledged during the previous round of talks. Both nations lauded CPEC as a pivotal component of the Belt and Road Initiative, attributing its success to accelerating socio-economic development, job creation, and improving livelihoods in Pakistan.

Moreover, reaffirming their commitment to the corridor’s high-quality development, both sides expressed satisfaction with the steady progress of CPEC projects, underscoring the enduring partnership between Pakistan and China in fostering regional connectivity and economic prosperity.

Furthermore, the strategic dialogue serves as a platform for reinforcing the longstanding friendship and mutual cooperation between Pakistan and China, symbolizing their shared commitment to advancing regional stability and prosperity. The ongoing consultations reflect the depth and resilience of the bilateral relationship, highlighting the strategic importance of continued collaboration in navigating complex geopolitical dynamics and addressing shared challenges effectively.
