Heavy Rainfall Anticipated in Pakistan Tonight

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a comprehensive weather forecast for various regions of Pakistan tonight, predicting rain and cloudy conditions in several areas.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Northeast Balochistan, Upper Punjab, and Islamabad, rainfall is expected alongside cloudy skies. Furthermore, residents should brace themselves for gusty winds, with thunderstorms possible in some locales.

The forecast also encompasses Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir, South Punjab, and Upper Sindh, where cloudy skies and windy conditions are anticipated, possibly accompanied by rainfall.

Over the past 24 hours, the highest recorded rainfall, measuring 12 mm, was noted in Khuzdar, Balochistan.

Given these forecasts, residents are urged to stay informed with the latest weather updates and take necessary precautions. It’s essential to stay indoors during thunderstorms, secure loose objects outdoors, and avoid venturing into areas prone to flooding.

Motorists are advised to exercise caution on the roads, as rainfall can lead to slippery surfaces and reduced visibility. Additionally, travelers should plan their journeys accordingly, considering potential delays or disruptions due to adverse weather conditions.

Furthermore, individuals should ensure that their homes are adequately prepared for inclement weather, such as securing windows and doors and clearing gutters to prevent waterlogging.

By staying informed and taking proactive measures, citizens can mitigate the impact of adverse weather conditions and ensure their safety and well-being during this period of rainfall and cloudy weather across Pakistan.
