Eight BLA Terrorists Eliminated in Counter-Strike Following Failed Assault on Gwadar Port Authority

Gwadar Port Authority

GWADAR: A group of gunmen launched a brazen assault on the Gwadar Port Authority (GPA) Complex, prompting swift action from security forces who successfully thwarted the attack and neutralized “eight terrorists” linked to the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), citing reliable sources.

Eyewitnesses recounted hearing multiple explosions and gunfire within the complex, which houses key government offices such as the passport office and the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Prior to the gunfire, an explosion was heard, according to statements from police officials, who also confirmed the deployment of security personnel to cordon off the area.

A clearance operation is currently underway at the facility, with security forces maintaining a strong presence on-site. The Makran Division commissioner has verified the incident and the number of terrorists slain during the encounter.

Reacting to the attack, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah unequivocally condemned the assault on the GPA complex, emphasizing the unwavering resolve of the military to eliminate terrorists.

He underscored the critical importance of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to the nation’s future and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding it from any threats.

This incident comes in the wake of a recent terrorist attack on a security forces’ checkpoint in the Mir Ali area of North Waziristan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), where several civilians and law enforcement personnel lost their lives.

Following this attack, Pakistani forces conducted intelligence-based operations (IBOs) in border regions within Afghanistan, targeting terrorists responsible for launching attacks from Afghan soil into Pakistan.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has highlighted the role of Afghan soil in fostering terrorism within Pakistan, citing evidence of terrorists’ infiltration and support from Afghan Taliban elements.

Defence Minister Khawaja Asif also reiterated the prevalence of cross-border terrorism emanating from Afghanistan during media interactions.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, echoing the sentiments of national resolve against terrorism, affirmed Pakistan’s zero-tolerance policy towards cross-border terrorism in the aftermath of the Mir Ali attack.

He emphasized that any use of neighboring territory for terrorist activities would not be tolerated, underscoring the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of its citizens.
