In a donation ceremony hosted at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong personally presented the cash assistance to Pakistan’s Foreign Secretary, Mohammad Syrus Sajjad Qazi.
In addition, Ambassador Zaidong reaffirmed China’s unwavering commitment to stand by Pakistan during challenging times, emphasizing the critical importance of timely aid for the affected communities.
Moreover, a statement released by the Chinese embassy underscored the significance of this contribution in delivering vital assistance to those in dire need.
It also highlighted the proactive involvement of Chinese entities in Pakistan, including the distribution of 30,000 bottles of mineral water and 3,000 cans of food to the affected residents in Gwadar.
Furthermore, concerted efforts have been made to provide shelter to displaced individuals at the Gwadar Faqur School, showcasing the enduring bond between China and Pakistan.
Looking ahead, the Chinese Consulate General in Karachi is poised to extend additional material assistance valued at RMB 500,000 in the near future, reaffirming the sustained commitment to support Pakistan’s ongoing recovery endeavors.
Also, this aid initiative follows Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s announcement of a relief package for those adversely impacted by the recent torrential rains.
