During a session convened at the Chief Minister’s House, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, directed officials to integrate Madrassahs into the province’s solarization project for mosques and places of worship.
Underlining the necessity of transitioning these seminaries to solar energy to cater to the needs of numerous students residing and studying there, CM Gandapur stressed on the inclusion of all registered seminaries in the solarization initiative across the province, aiming to solarize between 1000 to 1500 seminaries.
The meeting, which included Principal Secretary Amjad Ali Khan and Secretary Energy & Power Nisar Ahmad, deliberated on the appointment of the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Committee Members of Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization (PEDO).
CM Gandapur highlighted the importance of timely completion of ongoing Hydel Power Development Projects, urging authorities to adhere to specified timelines and prioritize revenue-generating initiatives.
In another meeting concerning the Local Government Department, CM Gandapur instructed authorities to allocate special funds for wages and pensions to employees of financially strained Tehsil Municipal Administrations. He directed the immediate release of Rs. 1.5 billion to ensure that all employees receive two months’ salary and pension, alleviating financial strain during the holy month of Ramadan and upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr.
