KARACHI: Exciting news has emerged from the Pakistan aviation sector as the air taxi service is officially inaugurated in Karachi.
This new service promises equal benefits to both travel enthusiasts and individuals seeking emergency air transport, with the convenience of booking flights based on hourly fares to any destination within Pakistan.
Initially introduced by Sky Wings Aviation, the air taxi service covers all airports, airfields, and landing strips in Sindh and Balochistan.
CEO Imran Aslam announced the availability of four air taxis at the service’s launch, offering an introductory hourly fare of Rs95,000.
In the upcoming phase, the service aims to extend its reach to airports in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Each air taxi can accommodate up to three passengers simultaneously.
Aslam highlighted the initial interest from individuals requiring emergency travel within Sindh and Balochistan, as well as those seeking recreational flights for aerial views of Karachi and its surroundings.
He announced that reservations for the air taxi service have commenced, allowing interested parties to book their flights through the organization’s website.
The launch of the air taxi service represents a significant milestone for aviation in Pakistan, fulfilling a long-standing dream.
Aslam emphasized the versatility of the service, suggesting its potential for aerial surveys, including exploring the mangrove forests along Karachi’s coastline.
