Augmenting the list of protest venues are significant locales such as the district commissioner’s office in Khushab, the pivotal Qainchi Mor in Sargodha, the consequential Rokhri Mor in Mianwali, and the pivotal Zame Wala Tehsil in Bhakkar.
During a preceding Friday, Asad Qaiser, a prominent leader within the PTI ranks, emphatically asserted the party’s outright rejection of the legitimacy of the February 8 polls. He vociferously called for a sweeping wave of nationwide demonstrations, underscoring the imperative need for stability post-election, as he contended that the prevailing instability in the country has reached alarming proportions.
Qaiser, in an ensuing press briefing in Islamabad after a meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami leader Liaquat Baloch, fervently demanded the fundamental right to conduct free and fair elections. He unequivocally declared the party’s unwavering commitment to orchestrating protests nationwide, vehemently opposing the purportedly tainted election outcomes.
In response, Baloch conveyed that the party’s decisive course of action would be determined during its upcoming majlis-e-shoora meeting, infusing an element of anticipation into the unfolding political landscape.
