RAWALPINDI: On Tuesday, a significant clash occurred between security forces and militants in Balochistan, resulting in the deaths of at least nine terrorists, including three suicide bombers, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military’s media wing. The incident took place during multiple attacks on the Mach and Kolpur complexes.
In response to the attacks, security forces swiftly mobilized in the area and initiated operations. The ISPR reported that nine terrorists were killed, with three suicide bombers among them, while three others sustained injuries. Tragically, four members of law enforcement agencies (LEAs) and two civilians lost their lives in the exchange of fire.
The ISPR highlighted the effective response of the LEAs, praising their unwavering commitment to the fight against terrorism and emphasizing Pakistan’s security forces’ dedication to ensuring peace and stability in the country.
Meanwhile, the caretaker provincial information minister of Balochistan, Jan Achakzai, confirmed that security forces successfully thwarted three attacks by the banned terrorist organization Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) in Mach, resulting in the deaths of at least seven terrorists. He noted that the final clearance operation in Mach was still underway but assured that the situation in the area had been stabilized.

Sources revealed that the security forces had prior information about the terror bid, which enabled them to respond effectively and force the terrorists to retreat. Achakzai accused Indian media of supporting the banned organization and highlighted the failure of the terrorists to escape despite advice from their handlers.
This incident occurred shortly after terrorists killed nine Pakistani laborers in southeastern Iran near the Pakistan border, with Pakistan attributing the attack to the outlawed BLA and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF).
Furthermore, Jan Achakzai reported earlier about rockets fired from a hilly area in Mach, Balochistan, though no casualties or damage were reported. He assured that law enforcement agencies were on high alert.
The exchange of fire in Balochistan underscores the ongoing security challenges in the region, with both Pakistan and Iran reaffirming their commitment to combatting terrorism and ensuring the mutual security of their nations.
