Independent candidate Qazi Tayyab Shahzad has officially withdrawn from the NA-15 Mansehra constituency, throwing his support behind Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif. Despite having his nomination papers accepted, Shahzad chose to step back from the upcoming polls. The returning officer issued an official notification confirming Shahzad’s withdrawal from the NA-15 race.
In a parallel development, PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif made significant promises during a public gathering in Mandi Bahauddin. He pledged to provide agricultural loans specifically targeted at the youth in rural areas. Taking a swipe at the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shehbaz Sharif recalled historical events, including the long march staged against Nawaz Sharif’s government. He pointed out that PTI’s protests led to delays in the Chinese president’s tour, highlighting the disruptive nature of those demonstrations.
Shehbaz Sharif went on to criticize the tactics employed by certain individuals, questioning the motivations behind the protests in Islamabad and the use of foul language during those incidents. He asserted that the conspiracy against Nawaz Sharif was set into motion after the year 2013.
Throughout his address, Shehbaz Sharif underscored the challenges and adversities faced by the PML-N during his brother’s tenure as prime minister. With these developments, the political landscape in the NA-15 constituency sees a strategic withdrawal and a significant policy announcement from the PML-N leadership.
