Sources reveal that Justice Ijazul Ahsan’s decision to resign came in the wake of Justice Naqvi’s earlier resignation from the senior Supreme Court judge position. According to insiders, Justice Ahsan has formally submitted his resignation to President Arif Alvi. Notably, he held the position of the third most senior judge in the Supreme Court and was slated to ascend to the role of Chief Justice of Pakistan in October 2024.
