The incident occurred while Dawar was on a campaign trip in Miranshah’s Tappi area, with his vehicle coming under gunfire. Fortunately, Dawar emerged unharmed, and there were no other reported casualties.
Bullet marks were visible on the back and side windows of his vehicle. Following the attack, Dawar was promptly relocated to a secure location. Upon receiving reports of the incident, a substantial police presence arrived at the scene, initiating a thorough search of the area for any potential threats.
Elected as an independent candidate to the National Assembly in 2018, Dawar continues to be a prominent figure in the political landscape.

Meanwhile, Justice Mazahar Naqvi responded comprehensively to the second show cause notice presented in the Supreme Judicial Council.
Within his rebuttal, Justice Mazahar Naqvi urged the judicial council to dismiss the grievances lodged against him, contending that the council’s actions were unwarranted following the open court proceedings on constitutional petitions.
It’s noteworthy that the Supreme Judicial Council had afforded Justice Mazahar Naqvi a final opportunity to timely submit his response.
The forthcoming session of the Judicial Council concerning Justice Mazahar Ali Akbar Naqvi is scheduled for January 11. The complaint against Supreme Court Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi was filed in the Supreme Judicial Council.
The complaint, brought forth by Mian Dawood Advocate, encompasses allegations of misconduct, possession of illicit assets, and accumulation of wealth through proxies. The petitioner has implored the judicial council to dismiss Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi from his esteemed position in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
In April, Justice Isa and Justice Masood dispatched a judicial communication to Justice Bandial, who was then the CJP, urging the convening of an SJC assembly to scrutinize these accusations.
