Ali Amin Gandapur, federal minister for Kashmir affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan, is under fire after a video goes viral in which Gandapur is sitting on the passenger seat while a minor drives the jeep.
Journalist Mansoor Ali Khan Tweeted the video of the minister and the video is ever since frenzied with public criticism.
Following replies were posted mocking the illegal move by the minister.
To which Ali Amin Gandapur tweeted replying,
Gandapur replied to the journalist on the post saying,
It can be seen in the video that Gandapur is bobbing his head to the beat of ‘Shenai’ by DJ Kantik while his son drives the vehicle and two other grown men sit in the backseat. Putting aside the strange music choice, the son in question doesn’t look a day over 10, let alone 18 years old. But then the law doesn’t apply to our ministers, especially when they’re on their own land, apparently.
From the defense by the minister, it is clear that Mr. Gandapur is completely unaware of the fact that the country’s rules and regulations apply everywhere and to everyone who is present in the country.
