Taliban Takeover
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar ul Haq Kakar expressed concerns over the threatening statements made by Afghan leaders, raising apprehensions about regional stability. He mentioned that Pakistan has initiated proactive measures due to the non-responsive behavior of the Kabul government.
He noted that an increase in terrorism was observed following the Taliban takeover of Kabul and the formation of an interim government in Afghanistan. It is hoped that the Afghan interim government will take action against Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan members in Afghanistan.

Kakar also highlighted the threatening remarks made by leaders of the Afghan interim government regarding Pakistan and the potential use of benami properties for terrorism.
Despite this, Pakistan has assured that its actions are not the result of external pressure but rather a commitment to regional security.
Pakistan has handed over a list of terrorists to Kabul, demonstrating its dedication to addressing the terrorism issue jointly with Afghanistan. Kakar stated that this decision was prompted by the recent behavior of the Afghan government.
Kakar emphasized Pakistan’s leadership’s determination to maintain law and order within its borders. He vowed that individuals involved in unlawful activities would face severe criminal proceedings as part of the country’s efforts to combat terrorism and ensure national security.
He clarified that illegal Afghan refugees are not considered enemies, and the government is implementing measures to rectify past policies and ensure their safety.
Kakar mentioned the increasing voluntary repatriation of Afghan refugees as a positive step taken by the Pakistani government in this regard. He defended the deportation of illegal foreigners, stating that it is part of broader efforts to ensure regional stability and security.
