ISLAMABAD: On Thursday, Chief of Staff of Qatar Armed Forces, Lieutenant General (Pilot) Salem Hamad Eqail Al-Nabet, visited Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) mentioned that the meeting covered discussions on matters of mutual and professional interest, as well as the regional security situation.
COAS Gen Munir, speaking at the event, expressed Pakistan’s appreciation for its close relations with Qatar and its eagerness to strengthen defense and security cooperation with the Qatari armed forces.
The visiting dignitary praised the ongoing efforts of the Pakistan Army in promoting peace and stability in the region and committed to working towards improving relations between the two countries.
The meeting took place as Israel initiated its most intense bombing campaign in the 75-year history of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Israel declared its determination to eliminate Hamas, which governs the Gaza Strip.
Furthermore, Israel declared that it would not provide a humanitarian pause in its Gaza Strip blockade until Hamas released all the hostages it was holding.
