ISLAMABAD: Two soldiers, including an army major, actively embraced martyrdom during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Balochistan’s Zhob District, as reported by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement on Monday.
According to the military’s media affairs wing, security forces conducted an operation in the general Sambaza area of Zhob District during the night between October 8 and 9 based on reported terrorist presence.

“During the operation, the security forces surrounded the terrorists, engaging in an intense firefight that resulted in sending five terrorists to their demise,” stated the ISPR.
However, in the midst of the gunfire, Major Syed Ali Raza Shah, 31, who was leading the operation from the front, and Havaldar Nisar Ahmed, 28, displayed gallant courage but tragically lost their lives.
“The security forces of Pakistan are profoundly indebted and take pride in the bravery of our fallen heroes, paying tribute to their sacrifices for our motherland. Their valor only strengthens our determination to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country,” read the statement.
The ISPR also mentioned that the process of clearing the surrounding areas is ongoing to eliminate any other terrorists found in the region.
Last month, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munir had stated that the state would continue to confront the full force of evil after a suicide attack in Balochistan’s Mastung district claimed the lives of 59 people.
