Sanam Javed Khan and other female activists affiliated with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have been placed under a 14-day judicial remand in a case involving vandalism.
According to the provided information, the police presented their report to the court, identifying Sanam Javed Khan’s involvement in the attack on a police van. The police requested physical remand for the PTI women activists in connection with the police van attack case.
However, the court rejected the plea for physical remand, and instead, it sent the PTI women activists to a 14-day judicial remand. The court discharged Ashima and Shah Bano from the case due to a lack of evidence implicating them in the vandalism incident.
Previously, authorities re-arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) women activists shortly after their release. Policewomen detained the PTI activists and transferred them from Kot Lakhpat Jail in Lahore.
Earlier, an anti-terrorism court (ATC) had ordered the release of PTI activist Sanam Javed Khan and other party activists in the Jinnah House attack case. The court granted bail to PTI activists Sanam Javed Khan, Robina Jameel, Afshan Tariq, Ashma Shuja, Shah Bano, Faisal Akhtar, Qasim, Ali Hasan, and Hussain Qadri.
