Lal Haveli Sealed
RAWALPINDI: The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) sealed Lal Haveli, the residence of Awami Muslim League (AML) chief and former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed.
ETPB staff, along with the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and police personnel, reached Sheikh Rasheed’s residence to carry out the sealing operation.
Furthermore, Asif Khan, ETPB Deputy Administrator, led the operation, asserting that Sheikh Rasheed and his brother Sheikh Siddique had ‘illegally’ occupied seven acres of Lal Haveli, which is ETPB’s property.
Simultaneously, Sheikh Rasheed condemned the action of the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) and called for the Lahore High Court (LHC) to take notice of the matter.
Sheikh Rasheed’s residence, Lal Haveli, sealed by the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), sparking his demand for LHC intervention. The property dispute remains unresolved, and legal proceedings may follow.
Breakthrough Discovery: Archaeologists Unearth World’s Oldest Wooden Structure
Moreover, Archaeologists unearthed the world’s oldest wooden structure at Kalambo Falls in Zambia, making a groundbreaking discovery. This remarkable find dates back approximately 476,000 years, well before the emergence of Homo sapiens.
The well-preserved wooden structure, believed to function as a platform, walkway, or raised dwelling, bears signs of using stone tools to connect two large logs. This discovery challenges the conventional view of early human capabilities, suggesting advanced innovation.
The site also yielded a collection of wooden tools, including a wedge and a digging stick. This finding contradicts the idea that early humans of this era primarily used wood for limited purposes like fire starting or hunting.
