ISLAMABAD: After returning to the UK from Pakistan, the father, stepmother, and uncle of 10-year-old Sara Sharif, who was discovered deceased at her residence in a Surrey village last month, have been charged.
According to the information, the authorities arrested the three accused, Urfan Sharif (aged 41), Beinash Batool (aged 29), and Faisal Malik (aged 28), upon their arrival in London.

Sara’s father, Urfan Sharif, his partner Beinash Batool, and Urfan’s brother Faisal Malik, all made appearances at Guildford Magistrates’ Court. They faced charges of murdering Sara Sharif and causing or allowing the death of a child.
However, the trio refuted the murder allegations in court. They faced indictments for causing or allowing the death of 10-year-old Sara Sharif.
Authorities will detain them until they make their next appearance at Old Bailey court.
Authorities apprehended these three accused individuals upon their return to the UK after departing from Pakistan. They left Pakistan the morning after negotiating with the police and British authorities, landing at Gatwick airport later that night.
The case
On August 10, authorities discovered the lifeless body of Sara Sharif, a 10-year-old British national, at her family’s residence in Woking, Surrey.
Police authorities discovered her body a day after her father, Irfan Sharif, fled to Pakistan with his partner Benish Batool and brother Faisal Malik.
According to the reports, the three individuals booked one-way flights out of the country before the discovery of her body.
Sara’s mother, Olga Sharif, stated that she married Urfan, aged 41, in November 2009. However, their marriage came to an end in 2017, and the court granted her ex-husband full custody of both Sara and her 13-year-old brother in 2019. Since then, Ms. Sharif claims that she had the opportunity to see her children only twice.
