Maryam was sitting in the back seat
KARACHI / ISLAMABAD: A seven-year-old girl tragically lost her life in Karachi under mysterious circumstances after being hit by a bullet while going school.
In Sakhi Hassan, Bufferzone, an incident occurred as seven-year-old Maryam sat in the back seat of her family’s car.

Suddenly, a bullet struck the child in the head, prompting her immediate rush to a private hospital, where she tragically succumbed to her injuries.
The girl’s father recounted hearing the sound of glass shattering and quickly turning to discover that his daughter had been hit by a bullet. He further mentioned witnessing two men fleeing the scene.
The police, at that point, remained unaware of any shooting incident and suggested the possibility of a stray bullet. They continued to gather information about the incident.
An alternative explanation being considered is that the bullet may have been fired from the opposite side of the road.
The child’s body was subsequently transferred to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for the necessary paperwork.
