ISLAMABAD: Pakistan pacer Shaheen Afridi continues to make positive gestures off the field, as he recently met Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah and presented him with a gift for his son.
The Pakistan Cricket Board in a post on X wrote, โShaheen Afridi delivers smiles to new dad Jasprit Bumrah.โ
The PCB also posted a video clip in which Shaheen presented the gift to Bumrah. They had met after the high-voltage Pakistan and India match was called off due to rain.

Jasprit Bumrah and Sanjana Ganesan welcomed their son on September 4. Due to this, the right-arm fast bowler left the Indian team and flew back home in the middle of their Asia Cup campaign to be with his partner and witness the birth of his firstborn.
They have given their son the name Angad.
Shaheen, while delivering the gift to the Indian pacer, congratulated him and said, “This is a small gift for the little prince. I thought I should give it to him. May Allah always keep him happy and he becomes the new Bumrah.”
Bumrah, in response, expressed his gratitude and shook hands with Shaheen, describing the gesture as “very sweet.”
โOur little family has grown & our hearts are fuller than we could ever imagine! This morning we welcomed our little boy, Angad Jasprit Bumrah into the world. We are over the moon and canโt wait for everything this new chapter of our lives brings with it,โ Bumrah wrote in a post on Instagram.
The couple got married in a private ceremony in Goa in 2021.
