Quits his job over personal engagements
ISLAMABAD: Sources reported on Monday that Zahir Shah, Deputy Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), has resigned from his position.
Shah has formally submitted his resignation letter to the NAB chairman, citing personal commitments as the reason for his departure.

This marks the second high-level resignation within the Bureau, following the recent resignation of the Prosecutor General, Justice (Retd) Syed Asghar Haider, just two days earlier, also due to personal reasons.
The NAB had scheduled the investigation into the 190 million pound scandal for this month. The initiation of legal proceedings depends on the prosecutor general’s approval, which is necessary.
Additionally, Haider’s resignation has led to a deadlock in the Executive Board’s meeting and the approval of pending cases.
