ISLAMABAD: According to reports, the body of the child who had gone out to play in Malikpur village on August 15 has been discovered in the river, with allegations of rape and murder.

According to police officials, the suspect physically assaulted a six-year-old child and subsequently disposed of the body in the canal.
The prime suspect, a 12-year-old cousin of the victim, took the child on a bicycle before committing the crime, as revealed by the police.
Upon receiving a complaint from the victim’s father, Muhammad Ahmed, Station House Officer (SHO) of the local police station, Abid Ashiq Mehar, and other law enforcement personnel reviewed CCTV footage from nearby areas. The footage clearly showed the victim riding a bicycle with his 12-year-old cousin.
In police custody, the 12-year-old suspect confessed to the heinous crime, admitting to the assault and the subsequent disposal of the child’s body in a canal.
Based on the suspect’s confession, the police officials recovered the child’s body from the canal, and registered a case.

Meanwhile, unknown armed men had abducted the six football players in the Kachhi canal area of Sui Tehsil, Dera Bugti district last week. Footballers were going to Sibi to participate in the All Pakistan Chief Minister Gold Cup Football tournament.
However, some armed men intercepted their vehicle and kidnapped several players.
Subsequently, the kidnappers released 18 players but retained custody of the remaining six, who belonged Dera Bugti and Sui areas.
