PESHAWAR / ISLAMABAD: On Monday, a bomb blast occurred near an FC vehicle on Warsak Road in Peshawar, resulting in the martyrdom of one FC personnel and leaving several others injured.
According to police officials, reports indicated that the blast also left seven FC personnel and three civilians injured. It was suspected to be a ‘landmine’ explosion.
Rescue teams, as reported by a spokesperson from Rescue 1122, have dispatched to the incident site, which occurred in proximity to Prime Hospital.
Rescue 1122 personnel provided immediate medical assistance and subsequently transported the injured individuals to the hospital.
Security forces have taken control of the area and initiated a search operation to apprehend the perpetrators.
SP Warsak Division, Muhammed Arshad Khan, mentioned that it appeared to be an IED blast, but the Bomb Disposal Squad would confirm the precise nature of the explosion.

Meanwhile, unknown armed men had abducted the six football players in the Kachhi canal area of Sui Tehsil, Dera Bugti district last week. Footballers were going to Sibi to participate in the All Pakistan Chief Minister Gold Cup Football tournament.
However, some armed men intercepted their vehicle and kidnapped several players.
Subsequently, the kidnappers released 18 players but retained custody of the remaining six, who belonged Dera Bugti and Sui areas.
