Bangladesh achieved a score of 334-5 in 50 overs.
The Afghanistan team, in response, managed to accumulate 245 runs in 44.3 overs.

While chasing a target of 335 runs, Afghanistan encountered early setbacks, with Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam making significant breakthroughs.
Afghanistan lost an early wicket with Gubraz out for just 1 run. Ibrahim and Rahmat had a 78-run partnership, but Rahmat was dismissed by Taskin for 33.
Ibrahim scored 75 before Rahim’s catch sent him off. Captain Shahidi scored 51, but fell to Shoriful. Rashid Khan made 24, but Afghanistan was all out for 245.
Taskin took four wickets, while Islam claimed three in Bangladesh’s victory.During the first innings, Bangladesh, led by Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Najmul Hossan Shanto, amassed a total of 334-5.
Miraz contributed 112 runs, while Shanto added 104 to the score. Shakib Al Hasan remaining unbeaten at 32; Gulbadin Naib took 1-58, and Mujeeb Ur Rahman took 1-62.
Afghanistan is now set to face Sri Lanka in a crucial must-win match on September 5 in the Asia Cup 2023 group stage.
