Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), made a historic visit to Turkey to attend the prestigious Graduation and Flag Detachment Ceremony as the guest of honor.
The ceremony took place at the Turkish Air Force Academy, and the invitation extended to the PAF chief was a result of a special invitation by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
During his visit, Air Chief Marshal Sidhu expressed his gratitude to President Erdogan and reaffirmed the PAF’s commitment to strengthening its partnership with the Turkish Air Force.
This ceremony marked a significant milestone for the graduating cadets, symbolizing the culmination of their rigorous training as they begin their careers as officers in the Turkish Air Force.

Furthermore he reaffirmed his determination to strengthen the robust friendship between the two nations amid shared challenges. He expressed an eagerness to explore additional opportunities for collaboration in the defense and aviation sectors.

Leading Turkish firms have already established their offices in Pakistan’s National Aerospace Science and Technology Park’s ‘Alpha Techno Square,’ demonstrating a strategic partnership commitment. This collaboration facilitates joint ventures, technology transfer, and knowledge sharing, promoting growth and innovation in the aerospace industry.
During his international trip, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu also met with General Gabor Böröndi, Chief of General Staff of the Hungarian Defense Forces. The meeting allowed military leaders from both sides to engage in productive discussions about mutual interests, strategic goals, and opportunities for enhanced cooperation.
