Non-Muslim women who tried to stop Quran Desecration receives appreciation

It has been revealed that Cecilia Saav, the woman who attempted to stop Quran Desecration is a non-Muslim. “We, ordinary Swedes, do not stand behind his actions. Sweden stands for democracy and equality. Justice and the equal value of all people” expressed Cecilia Saav, who gained widespread appreciation for her courageous act of using a fire extinguisher to thwart a far-right extremist’s attempt to desecrate the Holy Quran.

Danish journalist Robert Carter revealed in a social media post that Cecilia Saav, a 47-year-old Swedish woman and mother of two, is not a religious adherent herself. Still, she firmly believes in promoting equality and treating everyone with respect regardless of their race or religion.

Appreciation

Her actions received global acclaim for confronting individuals who engaged in a reprehensible act that deeply offended Muslims. Saav expressed gratitude for the love and appreciation she received from people worldwide.

Earlier, a copy of the Holy Quran was desecrated for the second time in a matter of weeks. The group dressed in firefighter-themed attire chanted “Extinguish the hate”.

The Swedish authorities granted permission for individuals to desecrate the Quran and allocated them a one-hour slot. After that, the police allowed people to collect pages of the holy Quran.

Following solid reactions from Muslim nations, Denmark announced plans to prohibit the desecration of the Holy Quran. The government plans to introduce a bill that criminalizes the inappropriate treatment of religiously significant objects, as stated by Justice Minister Peter Hummelgaard.

Pakistan welcomed Denmark’s decision, praising their proposed legislation to criminalize the improper treatment of religious texts and objects of significant importance, including the Holy Quran. Pakistan’s interim Foreign Minister, Jalil Abbas Jilani, expressed this appreciation on X on August 26.
