Cambridge has made the decision to hold a re-examination for students in October due to widespread complaints about the A-level examinations. The decision was reached after a meeting involving heads of educational institutions on Friday.
The re-examination, scheduled for October, will address the concerns raised by A-level students. A lot of students were unable to take the exams in May due to the prevailing law-and-order situation. In a positive move, Cambridge has announced that it will not impose a fee for these re-examinations.
To facilitate the process, the British Council will offer a cost-effective logistics plan. The schools will be responsible for submitting requests for re-evaluation of cases to Cambridge.
In terms of financial responsibilities, schools are expected to cover 80 percent of the costs associated with these applications, while parents will contribute the remaining 20 percent. This collaborative approach aims to ensure fairness and address the concerns raised by students and educational institutions.
