Sindh Chief Minister to forward assembly dissolution summary today

KARACHI/ISLAMABAD: Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah announced his intention to submit the summary for the dissolution of the provincial legislature to the governor today.

He expresses the challenges faced during his five-year tenure, emphasizing that exercising power over this period had not been an easy task.

However, in his farewell address, Shah extended congratulations to the assembly members for completing their term. He highlights the historical significance of the Sindh Assembly, remarking that the session had been presided over by a speaker who had been incarcerated.

The outgoing Chief Minister also recalled the effective management of the COVID-19 pandemic by the provincial government. He asserted that their performance had surpassed that of several developed countries.

Shah acknowledged the significant impact of floods on the province and underscored that the provincial government had taken proactive measures to assist the victims, independent of relying on the federal government.
