SHIKARPUR: An armed clash between two groups in the Madiji area of Shikarpur has resulted in the tragic deaths of eight individuals, with two others sustaining injuries. The clash erupted between the Khalora and Junejo tribes in the Katchay Jhabar Sheikh region of Madiji in Shikarpur.
Prompt police intervention helped in swiftly containing the escalating tension. The clash was triggered by an ongoing dispute between the Juneja and Khalora tribes concerning agricultural land.
DSP Tajo Dero Syed Waril Shah confirmed the casualties and injuries, revealing that law enforcement authorities rapidly took control of the situation. The deceased bodies and the wounded individuals were promptly removed from the scene.
The fatalities in the clash were identified as Abdul Majeed Junejo, Jano Khalora, Nazir Waheed, and Ramzan Barkat Junejo. Among the injured were Liaquat Khalora, Hussain Baksh Junejo, and Waheed Dadu.
The police are currently delving into their criminal records to gain deeper insights into the incident.
