QUETTA / ISLAMABAD: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) shot dead three ‘terrorists’ associated with a banned outfit in Balochistan, early today.
The CTD spokesperson stated that the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) team conducted an operation in the Zhob district of Balochistan province.
This operation was based on intelligence information about the presence of highly wanted ‘terrorists’.
Upon encountering the CTD team, the ‘terrorists’ engaged in gunfire, resulting in an exchange of fire that led to the death of three of them. Additionally, two policemen sustained injuries during the exchange.
On June 10, the Counter-Terrorism Department apprehended two alleged terrorists from a banned outfit during a raid in Bhakkar.
A CTD spokesperson reported that the detained individuals, Muhammad Ullah and Fazal Razzaq, were actively involved in questionable activities.
Law enforcement officials discovered donation receipts and banned literature in their possession.
Bomb Blast In Quetta Left Two FC Personnel Injured
Meanwhile, the police reported that the incident occurred close to the agriculture office on Sariab Road. Unidentified motorcyclists quickly escaped after hurling hand grenades.
The blast severely wounded two FC personnel who were on duty at the gate. They have been taken to FC Hospital for medical treatment.
