Health Insurance Cards
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has launched Health Insurance Cards for journalists, media workers, and artists.
During the event, the premier labeled the insurance scheme a “revolutionary initiative” within the realm of journalism.
The Health Insurance Card initiative will provide benefits to thousands of journalists, media workers, and artists throughout the nation. Through this program, beneficiaries will avail cost-free healthcare services up to Rs 1.5 million per year across 1200 hospitals.

“This marks the first instance of introducing a health insurance scheme tailored specifically for working journalists and artists,” he emphasized.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister made a declaration about the establishment of a dedicated fund. It will grant four million rupees to the families of journalists who lose their lives in the line of duty.
He noted that this decision was the result of discussions with Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb.
The launch event also included the introduction of the Pakistan Code, an app and website serving as a Digital Repository of Federal Intangibles.
Prime Minister explained that this platform will simplify public access to a wide range of federal laws.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif reassured Chinese companies and investors that the “difficult time for them is now over.”
The premier stated that he was aware that Chinese companies had faced tough times under the previous government’s tenure.
Moreover, PM Shehbaz also pledged to Chinese investors that his government would further simplify procedures for companies operating in Pakistan, particularly those involved in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and would ensure their full implementation.
He emphasized that the Chinese government and companies played a vital role in promoting Pakistan’s industrial growth across various sectors.
