ISLAMABAD: A few days following the arrest and imprisonment, Imran Khan might face the possibility of losing his position as the chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. ECP denies all the reports.
Sources claimed that the ECP would remove Imran Khan from his party position due to his conviction.
However, the ECP strongly rebutted the reports, denying any consideration of the matter, and stating that they had not convened any meeting to discuss it.

Minutes after a sessions court in Islamabad convicted Imran Khan of corrupt practices in the Toshakhana case on August 5, law enforcement officials arrested him from his Lahore residence.
The court’s decision resulted in his disqualification from holding public office for five years. Additionally, he received a three-year jail term and a fine of Rs100,000.
According to the law, individuals who are ineligible for running for public office cannot be allowed to head a political party.
