SWAT / ISLAMABAD: Muhammad Saeed, the father of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Murad Saeed, has been arrested in Swat.
The police officials stated that they arrested Murad Saeed’s father for inciting people to protest following the arrest of the PTI chairman in the Toshakhana case.
They conducted a raid on the PTI leader’s house and took him to an undisclosed location after the arrest.
Earlier today, they took the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman into custody from his Zaman Park residence in Lahore.
This occurred shortly after the chairman was found guilty of “corrupt practices” in the Toshakhana case. He received a three-year prison sentence.
PTI Vice-Chairman Shah Mehmood Qureshi confirmed that the PTI chairman was arrested in the Toshakhana case.
PTI’s Punjab Chapter also validated the reports through a tweet, stating, “Imran Khan is being transferred to Kot Lakhpat Jail.”
The court, in addition, fined the convicted PTI chief Rs 100,000.
The court also ruled him ineligible to hold public office for five years.

Meanwhile, a reporter asked State Department spokesperson Mathew Miller about the US government’s stance on Imran Khan’s detention. Miller reffered Imran Khan’s arrest as Pakistan’s internal matter.
Miller asserted, “The cases against Imran Khan and other politicians in Pakistan are an internal matter.”
