LAHORE/ISLAMABAD: An earthquake jolted Lahore, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, and other cities on Saturday night.
According to the National Seismic Monitoring Centre, Islamabad, the temblor measured 5.8 on the Richter scale, and its epicenter was located near Tajikistan and Afghanistan’s border.
The earthquake occurred at a depth of 196 kilometers in the Hindukush mountain range.
Following the tremors, residents rushed out of their homes in panic, but no damages or casualties have been reported so far.
