ISLAMABAD: The Vice Prime Minister of China He Lifeng received Pakistan’s second-highest civil award, Hilal-e-Pakistan, during a historic ceremony at the President’s House.
President Dr. Arif Alvi had the privilege of presenting the Hilal Pakistan Award to the Vice Prime Minister of China.
President Dr. Arif Alvi recognized He Lifeng’s exceptional contributions to the Pakistan-China friendship and his efforts in promoting the CPEC.
The Aiwan-e-Sadr hosted the special investiture ceremony, attended by prominent figures such as Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, services chiefs, National Assembly Speaker, Senate Chairman, federal ministers, and parliamentarians.
The distinguished event also honored He Lifeng as the special guest.
He Lifeng holds a crucial position as the special representative of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
China-Pakistan sign MoUs to promote cooperation
Earlier,ย China and Pakistan signed some MoUs on Monday in Islamabad. Vice Prime Minister of China He Lifeng and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif witnessed the MoUsโ signing ceremony.
Federal Minister for Planning Ahsan Iqbal and his Chinese counterpart signed the agreements in Islamabad.
The MoUs are part of the three-day visit of Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng to Islamabad. He arrived in Islamabad on Sunday evening.
The visiting dignitary reached the Prime Ministerโs House for talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.

PM Sharif received the dignitary upon arrival at the PM House on Monday.
Later, the premier introduced his cabinet members to the guest. The Chinese vice premier also introduced his delegation to the prime minister.
Bank of China opens its branch in Islamabad
Meanwhile, the Bank of China opens its branch in Islamabad on Monday. The development is part of the three-day visit of Vice Premier of China He Lifeng to Pakistan. Mr. Lifen arrived in Islamabad on Sunday evening.
Finance Minister Ishaq Dar launched the Bank of China in Islamabad. It marks a momentous occasion as it coincides with the 10th anniversary of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC).
This inauguration ceremony signifies a milestone in deepening the economic ties between China and Pakistan.
