ISLAMABAD: Dozens of casualties occurred because of the blast at the JUI-F workers’ convention. US and Iran strongly condemned this act.
The United States (US) and Iran condemned the blast at Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) convention in Bajaur district. It resulted in severe causalities and injuries.
The US embassy expressed its heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims and denounced the “heinous act of violence” in a tweet.
“Such acts of terror have no place in a peaceful and democratic society,” the embassy said. “We stand in solidarity with the people of Pakistan during this difficult time.”
Furthermore, the US embassy reaffirmed its dedication to supporting Pakistan’s counterterrorism endeavors. It also reiterated its commitment to safeguarde the well-being and security of its people.
Likewise, the Iranian Embassy in Pakistan condemned the bomb blast in Bajaur district.
The embassy expressed strong condemnation of the terrorist attack on the JUI-F convention in Bajaur, Khar, which resulted in the tragic loss of numerous innocent lives.
In a tweet, the embassy said it “strongly condemns the terrorist attack against JUI-F convention in Bajaur, Khar leading to the death of tens of innocent people.”
The embassy extended its heartfelt condolences to the government of Pakistan, the Pakistani people, and JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman.
Additionally, the embassy offered prayers for the safe recovery of the injured.
Afghan Taliban Express Condemnation For The Bajaur Blast
Meanwhile, despite no militant organization claiming responsibility for the attack yet, Pakistan has previously urged the Afghan government to ensure that its territory is not used for launching attacks against Pakistan.
Zabihullah Mujahid, the Spokesman of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, expressed heartfelt condolences to the families affected by the blast. He offered prayers for the souls of the martyrs and a swift recovery for the injured victims.
