A blast at the JUI-F workers’ convention in Khar, the capital area of Bajaur, resulted in 35 fatalities and over 50 injuries. According to preliminary findings, the explosion took place in the Sandiaye area right in front of the NADRA office.
In the aftermath of the incident in Bajaur, authorities are transferring the injured to the nearest medical facilities for treatment. Emergency response teams, along with dedicated medical personnel, are working tirelessly to provide immediate aid to those in need. Simultaneously, law enforcement forces have been dispatched to the area to ensure the safety and security of the affected region.

Local residents are helping transfer the injured to hospitals during the chaotic time, showing a remarkable spirit of solidarity.
Authorities are yet to determine whether the blast was caused by a planted bomb or a suicide attack. Security personnel have cordoned off the area and are conducting a search and clearance operation.
JUI-F response
JUIF leader Fazlur Rehman has vehemently condemned the tragic blast that occurred in Bajaur. He has expressed condolences to the families of the victims who lost their lives in the attack. He called upon the federal and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) governments to conduct a thorough and swift investigation into the attack.
Fazlur Rehman also offered prayers for the departed souls, hoping that they find eternal peace. He conveyed his heartfelt wishes for the swift recovery of those injured in the incident.
Similarly, Hafiz Hamdullah, a senior leader of JUI-F, urged the government to provide immediate medical assistance to the injured and denounced the attack as sheer terrorism, not jihad. He mentioned that this incident is not the first time JUI-F workers have been targeted, and he couldn’t attend the convention due to a personal meeting.
Hamdullah questioned the performance of state institutions, as Bajaur has experienced multiple blasts in the past. He called for a judicial inquiry into the incident.
