The PMD also stated that these heavy rains might cause urban flooding in low-lying areas of Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Lahore, and Faisalabad from the night of July 27 to July 29.
Additionally, landslides could be in the vulnerable areas of Murree, Galliyat, Kashmir, Gilgit Baltistan, and hilly areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa due to the heavy rainfall.
Keeping the weather prediction in mind, the PMD advised that:
- Farmers adjust their activities accordingly.
- Tourists and travelers exercise extra caution to avoid untoward situations during the wet spell.
- ย People refrain from using electric output, and loose structures like electric poles, solar panels, etc., may be damaged by wind thunderstorms.
