International Forces Blackmailing Pakistan, says Fazlur Rahman

ISLAMABAD: Maulana Fazlur Rahman, the chairman of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), emphasized that Western nations’ attempts to associate Islam with terrorism have been unsuccessful.

He made these remarks during his visit to Karachi, where he met Pir Sadruddin Shah at his residence, along with Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza and Fahmida Mirza.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, he clarified that no provocative messages were conveyed that would support such conspiracies, and he categorically opposed any blasphemy of holy books.

Following the meeting, Fazlur Rehman highlighted that Pakistan is facing international blackmail, with Western forces using the IMF as a means to exert pressure on China and obstruct its investments in the country. However, he also pointed out that Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves are improving rapidly, and significant development projects have resumed in the country.

Addressing Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif’s potential return, Fazlur Rahman Rehman stated that it is ultimately the former prime minister’s decision to make, and if he decides to return, the people will welcome him.

The JUI-F chief expressed optimism about timely elections and stressed the importance of ongoing consultations and discussions to shape the political landscape.

Referring to the PTI chairman, Mr. Rehman mentioned that he believes the PTI’s influence is declining, and he suggests not overly focusing on the PTI chairman.

Regarding seat adjustments, he proposed that sub-organizations of districts should assess the benefits and make necessary adjustments.

Pir Sadruddin Shah expressed gratitude for Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s visit and mentioned that they exchanged suggestions during the meeting.
