Nawaz Sharif and Maryam depart for Saudi Arabia from Dubai to attend important meetings

DUBAI: On Monday midnight, Nawaz Sharif, the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN), departed to Saudi Arabia from Dubai Airport alongside his daughter Maryam Nawaz.

Party sources have indicated that Nawaz Sharif will participate in significant meetings in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, it is anticipated that a decision regarding his potential return to Pakistan will be made during his visit to Saudi Arabia.

As per sources from the Sharif family, Nawaz Sharif is expected to stay in Saudi Arabia for a week. During his visit, he will engage in meetings with influential Saudi personalities and will also perform Umrah. The sources further revealed that Nawaz Sharif has several crucial meetings scheduled, focusing on investment opportunities in Pakistan. Additionally, he is set to meet with various delegations of foreign investors during his visit.

According to sources, there are expectations of investment from the UAE and Saudi Arabia to improve the country’s economy. Nawaz Sharif has been staying in Dubai, where he held special political meetings.

The sources also mentioned that Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to have a meeting with the leadership of the PPP. The PMLN has not yet consulted any party regarding an electoral alliance. It remains undecided whether the parties in the government coalition will form such an alliance. The PMLN intends to field candidates in all provinces, including Punjab.

On Monday, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) decided to commence its election campaign with enthusiasm. Nawaz Sharif chaired party meetings to discuss political and legal matters, as well as upcoming political strategies. It was agreed that Nawaz would be warmly welcomed upon his return to the country. Nawaz has authorized PMLN chief organizer Maryam Nawaz to handle party and election affairs.

Furthermore, Nawaz instructed the party to establish a manifesto committee and develop a narrative for the upcoming elections, with a focus on engaging the youth. Additionally, it was agreed to take a swipe at the embattled party due to which the country had to face “consequences.”
