According to director Laxman Utekar of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Katrina Kaif was not chosen to star alongside Vicky Kaushal in the film.
Director Laxman Utekar
According to Laxman, Katrina is not a good fit for the role of a small-town girl because it doesn’t play to her acting abilities.
However, he states that if a strong story becomes available in the future, he would like to work with both Katrina and Vicky.
He stated: “Meri language Katrina ko samajh aayegi tabhi kar paunga. Aapko lagta hai Katrina kabhi small town ki heroine lagegi? If we get a good script, I would love to work with Vicky and Katrina.”
He further added:
“I couldn’t get them onboard this time because Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is in a different space and I feel Katrina ka joh aura hai and personality hai, mujhe personally laga nahi ki voh ek middle-class joint family ki bahu lag sakti hai.”
“Agar future mein aisa kuch banega joh unko suit karega toh kyun nahi”
Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan will star in the romantic comedy Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, which is scheduled for release out on June 2.
Laxman Utekar is the film’s director and writer; Maddock Films is the producing company.
