Adah Sharma, who played the major role in the controversial movie “The Kerala Story,” attained a notable milestone when the film became the first female-centric film to gross more than INR 200 crore.

Sharma posted a poster highlight on Instagram showing the distinction with the statement “1st female film to cross net collection India 200 CR.”

The actress wrote a sincere letter expressing her feelings in response to this outstanding achievement.

Sharma, 31 wrote: "1st Female Film to cross net collection India 200 Cr, without Tamil Nadu & West Bengal."

The right-wing ruling coalition fiercely defended a film that critics claimed incited racial tension and anti-Muslim propaganda, but despite this, West Bengal’s government outlawed it.

According to “The Kerala Story” movie, 32,000 Hindu and Christian women from Kerala have converted to Islam.

Critics have criticized the movie for propagating misinformation intended to stir up racial tension and instability in the community.

Despite the criticism, the film appreciates the support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and hardliners in the Hindu community who believe its representation is accurate to have praised it.
