Imran Khan, the leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), personally made his way to the Shaukat Khanum Hospital in Lahore on Saturday to seek emergency treatment for persistent pain in his stomach.
stomach pain
The former cricketer-turned-politician has been having discomfort since the afternoon, which prompted him to go to the renowned hospital in order to get a diagnosis and obtain treatment.
A team of specialized doctors promptly attended to Imran Khan when he arrived at the hospital on Saturday early in the morning.
They started conducting an exhaustive search right away to see what was causing him abdominal discomfort.
To help with a diagnosis, preparatory examinations, and testing are now being conducted.
From 2018 to 2023, Imran Khan was the prime minister of Pakistan.
In April of the previous year, a 13-party alliance known as the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) attempted to remove him from office through a no-confidence vote. Khan has worked hard to set a date for national elections since being ousted.
The coalition government has, however, rejected his request.
Imran Khan’s Arrest
Additionally, on May 9 the government arrested him on the grounds of the Islamabad High Court (IHC) in relation to the Al-Qadir Trust issue.
He was detained for a few days before the Pakistani Supreme Court ruled that his arrest was illegal.
He was then brought to the IHC, where on May 12 he was given a two-week bail in all of the cases brought against him.
Updates on Imran Khan’s condition will be shared by the hospital administration or his spokesperson at the right time when the Shaukat Khanum Hospital’s medical assessment of him proceeds.
