The Public Accounts Committee (PAC) was provided with comprehensive details regarding the benefits and salary given to the Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP).
The PAC demanded details about the benefits and privileges enjoyed by the president, prime minister, chief justice, and other members of the supreme court.
The data provided to the PAC shows that the CJP earns Rs1,527,399 which is more than the president and prime minister.
The chief justice is also given access to two vehicles, including a bulletproof automobile and a 1800cc car, as well as a government house.
The audit officials made clear during the committee’s briefing that the benefits also include 600 liters of petrol, unfettered access to utilities, a monthly housing rent of Rs. 98,000, and a daily stipend of Rs. 8,000.

The salaries of the president are Rs. 896,550, the prime minister, Rs. 201,574, the CJP, Rs. 1,527,399, the judges of the supreme court, Rs. 1,470,711, and the federal ministers, Rs. 338,125. A grade-22 officer’s monthly salary is Rs591,475 whereas parliamentarians earn Rs188,000.
