The scholarships, which are the result of a partnership between Google and Tech Valley, a division of the IT Ministry, aim to address the urgent problems of graduate unemployment and a lack of marketable skills.

Students who complete this programme can earn a six-month certificate that greatly improves their prospects of finding international employment possibilities.

Google and Tech Valley place a strong emphasis on fields like cybersecurity, digital e-commerce, big data, and artificial intelligence (AI), in an effort to fulfil modern demands and get students ready for the workforce of the future.

CEO of Tech Valley

The CEO of Tech Valley, Umar Farooq, voiced confidence in the program’s effectiveness by saying, “These scholarships will benefit not only the students but also multinational companies in search of skilled professionals.”

The partnership between Google and Tech Valley intends to close the skills gap between graduates’ and employers’ needs, thereby tackling the unemployment problem.

The programme will instruct pupils in technical skills as well as important concepts in digital literacy and online safety.

Umar Farooq emphasised the significance of educating young people on how to avoid cyberbullying and use the internet properly.

Additionally, he highlighted Tech Valley’s commitment to revolutionising the educational process by introducing Chromebooks, which will take the place of traditional schoolbags and lessen the burden on students.

These scholarships’ extensive curricula will not only empower students but also give them the tools they need to succeed in the digital age.
