ISLAMABAD: Defence Minister Khawaja Asif again said that an emergency will be imposed on Pakistani if the situation necessitated it.
Khwaja Asif stated this on Thursday while addressing a press conference in Islamabad after the Supreme Court (SC) declared Imran Khanโs arrest illegal.
Defence minister slammed the decision of the Supreme Court and termed it a โdual treatmentโ of accused.

Khawaja Asif lamented over the extensive damage to public property resulting from the protests of the PTI supporters across the country.
Defence Minister also accused Imran Khan of squandering the valuable time of the nation.
He condemned the language used by PTIโs leadership during the protests and termed it a direct attack on national security.
Khawaja Asif said the entire nation was witness to the statements of PTI leaders, suggesting negative consequences of such rhetoric.
On Thursday afternoon, the three-member bench of the Supreme Court issued its detailed order wherein the court declared illegal arrest of Imran Khan from the Islamabad High Court.
Reaction of PTI and PML-N
The leaders and supporters of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf are celebrating the Supreme Courtโs decision of declaring the illegal arrest of PTI chief Imran Khan while the PML-N leaders appear angry with the verdict.
The three-member bench of the Supreme Court today ordered the release of former prime minister Imran Khan by declaring his arrest unlawful at Islamabad High Court.

The apex court ordered the Islamabad police to shift to PTI chairman to the Police Guest House and ensure his security at all times.
PTI leaders urged supporters of the party to come to the streets to celebrate the decision of the Supreme Court.
PTI leader and former special assistant to the prime minister on youth affairs Usman Dar asked the party supporters to take to the streets to express solidarity and gratitude to the top court.
Through Twitter he said, โAll Pakistanis, wherever they are, should come out to express solidarity and gratitude to the Supreme Court in their respective areas.โ
Meanwhile, PTI leader and former Sindh Governor Imran Ismail also expressed his pleasure over the SCโs verdict.
He said, โImran Khan released by Supreme Court. Pakistan zindabad.โ
The former wife of Jamima Goldsmith also felt glad and said, โFinally sense has prevailed.โ
Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leaders fired a broadside at the countryโs top judge for giving a big and unexpected relief to the PTI chief in the Al-Qadir Trust corruption case.
A three-member bench โ headed by CJP Bandial and comprising Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Muhammad Ali Mazhar โ announced the verdict on PTIโs petition challenging Khanโs arrest on Thursday afternoon.
PML-N Chief Organiser Maryam Nawaz criticised the chief justice and asked him to resign as the CJP and join the PTI.
She said, โThe chief justice was very happy today to meet the criminal who plundered Rs60 billion from the national exchequer and he [CJP] was even more happy to release this criminal.โ
