Mosque In Islamabad Offers Free Marriage Hall To Assist Poor Families

Masjid Rehmat ul Alamin F/8 in Islamabad has established a free marriage hall to assist worthy families in celebrating their daughters’ weddings with respect and dignity.

This programme gives the bride and grooms a platform, as well as dinnerware, seats, and professional waiters to serve meals to the guests of worthy orphan brides, making their wedding day even more spectacular.

In addition, Masjid Rehmat ul Alamin F/8, Islamabad ensures that newlywed brides are sent to their new homes with respect and dignity, thanks to this compassionate initiative.

Mosque’s Goal

The mosque’s goal is to provide deserving families with a memorable and dignified wedding experience while easing the financial burden on poor families and enabling them to celebrate their special occasions with joy and honor.

The hall, which includes a stage for the bride and groom, has a three-hour time limit. Parents can either solemnize their daughter’s Nikkah themselves or choose a Khateeb of their choice for the ceremony, as allowed by the mosque management.

To reserve the hall, deserving parents can contact the mosque management committee.

Taj Qamar, a committee member, informed APP that marriage-related activities will continue uninterrupted even during prayer times.

Taj Qamar suggested that people should link their daughters’ departure with the call to prayer (Azan) and prayer (Salah) to eliminate superstitions and create a blessed environment that will facilitate a new life.

The mosque also recommends that families limit the number of guests to 100 or 120 individuals, with an equal number of men and women, and prioritize Islamic teachings while avoiding extravagance.

To ensure a successful event, three men and three women from the family should take responsibility for arranging and maintaining order, with one man and one woman appointed to oversee the event and ensure that the mosque administration does not participate in the ceremony.

It encourages families to adopt the practice of linking their daughters’ departure with the call to prayer and salah, as it can reduce superstitions, wastefulness, and financial burden on poor families.
